I was lucky enough to receive a prenatal massage at home by the expert hands of Amandine de Lunaissance .
In a space of just over an hour, I was transported into a bubble of well-being. First, getting ready with the mattress on the floor (but it also has a massage table), then playing relaxing music… everything is done to make you feel comfortable. Then an hour of relaxation where his hands managed to relax the muscles of my body from head to toe! Thank you for this moment of relaxation and relaxation which did me the greatest good!
First a consumer customer of Daylily during her pregnancy, then now a professional customer, Amandine is a young woman passionate about her profession and who is dedicated to pampering future and young mothers but also babies. We wanted to interview her so that you could find out more about the services she offers, but also about her inspiring journey as a mumpreneur!
Can you briefly introduce yourself
I am Amandine, beautician and masseur for over 11 years. I am truly passionate, I love contact with people and above all being able to provide them with fulfillment and well-being. I am concerned about interpersonal skills and know-how in my profession because both are very important and they do not go without one.
I am also the mother of 2 boys, aged 4 and a half and 21 months.
I discovered prenatal massage before being pregnant myself and I immediately loved this more special, more zen and more serene contact with a mother-to-be. After 6 years of practicing this type of massage and having suffered a layoff, I decided to turn this failure into a real opportunity. I then set foot in entrepreneurship, it was in May 2018 and since then I have been completely happy as if the circle had come full circle!
Why did you want to embark on an entrepreneurial journey?
At first, I admit I didn't want any of that! I had a lot of questions and a lot of doubts and fears. A few years ago, I wanted to resign in order to open my own structure and it's not as obvious as it seems when you listen to others... I think that at the time I didn't I wasn't ready to manage everything on my own so I ran away from this idea and continued while projecting myself and continuing to remain ambitious!
The layoff somehow didn't leave me much choice and I finally found what I needed and what was right for me. So I undertook training for more than 3 months and started looking around to find out if my project was viable... I was impressed by the number of people who didn't know about prenatal massage and massage. parents/baby and everyone seemed super excited so how can you not continue when you are pushed forward and in a constructive and positive way?
Tomorrow, it will be 6 months since Lunaissance was born and I regret nothing, especially when I see the smiles on the faces of my clients, when the confidence is felt and when the words are kind and so sincere.
I also build myself through you so thank you...
How did you manage to juggle your life as a mother and wife, and launching your professional activity?
So this question is quite complex because it's not easy for anyone but as I wrote in an article which was reprinted "I'm not cut out to be a stay-at-home mother" so even if some eyebrows will raise, I explain...
I love my children more than anything and those who know me know that I do everything to make sure they are well and happy. I spend most Wednesdays with one or the other or sometimes both. However, my life is not only designed for me to be a mother but also for me to remain a woman. My job is very precious and I am sincerely passionate about it. So, when you know that it is difficult to find the job of your dreams, I did not hesitate to take the plunge. BUT on the other hand, the advantage of being self-employed is that I have the hours I want and I can see my children as much as possible.
…And I never forget the evening story ;)
Can you explain the concept of Lunanaissance to us? And why this choice of specialization in maternity?
This choice was made naturally and thanks to my clients. My life as a mother also allowed me to see what I was made for because everything that revolves around motherhood fills me with happiness. Everything I give, I give from the heart, gently and in all sincerity.
Lunaissance offers treatments and massages for young and future mothers but also for babies. We also think of future and young dads.
I offer various beauty treatments and massages.
My specialty is obviously prenatal massage and parent/baby massage during which I teach parents to massage their babies (from 0 to 3 years old).
Is there a particular massage protocol that you have developed for future mothers?
The massage can be done on the floor on a futon (as Audrey was able to test) or on a massage table. In both cases it is very comfortable and throughout the massage I guide you so that you do not feel insecure and I create a sort of cocoon so that you can be and stay in your bubble.
I learned this protocol with the technique from a former work colleague, Christine, who still works at Spa Villa Thalgo. She's a former nurse. She is so gentle and attentive that I sometimes go back to get a massage from her.
And then, during my period of layoff, I was trained in futon massage, the technique of which is taken from Ayurveda (targeted on energy points). So I made a mixture of what I liked and what you liked to make the protocol that I am proposing today.
What treatments do you offer?
It ranges from hair removal because everyone needs it, to facial treatments, to massages (California, Balinese Ayurvedic or even lomi-lomi) and then prenatal and baby massage. I also offer carefully selected products.
How did you discover Daylily Paris and why use sensory oil during massage?
I discovered Daylily in a Balinese spa near my home when I was pregnant with my second. It goes without saying that I went there to relax and obviously I expected a lot from this massage! It was good but nothing more, and then she blindfolded me and massaged my stomach (without asking me), that's when the masseuse took the liberty of reminding me that I had stretch marks and m So we talked about the Daylily Paris products that I discovered physically and then olfactorily when I was having my tea. Being upset and hurt in my self-esteem, I did not buy Daylily products straight away but from you, Audrey and Diane, at the baby fair.
To try them is to adopt them ! And since then I have loved the products and so have my customers.

So, I massage the part of the stomach (when it is the case) with the wonderful Daylily oil ... It was obvious for me to include it in my project and to finally be able to offer good products to future and young people. moms and it's even better when you've tried them yourself...
We have also developed with Daylily Paris a self-massage ritual with sensory oil to practice on your stomach during pregnancy to soothe, relax, release tension and relieve tightness, while communicating with baby, why not? . Here is this ritual:
What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into entrepreneurship?
The advice I could give to all those who would like to embark on this adventure would be to have confidence in your projects and especially in yourself. You also know how to surround yourself well because there will always be people who will tell you what to do and how to do it, but few who will carry you forward and tell you that they are proud of you and that they believe in your project. You must NEVER give up because it is certain that times will sometimes be difficult, whether during the organization of the project, during training or after the project has been launched because this is the moment when you find yourself alone, left alone. to yourself but always tell yourself that it will work...
As long as we believe in our own project and passion drives us, it will inevitably see the light of day and you will be even happier...
