3rd to 6th week of amenorrhea / 1st to 4th week of pregnancy
Congratulations, you are pregnant ! During this first month of pregnancy, you may feel a little tired and perhaps "different"... (It's normal, a little revolution is brewing in your body!)
What definitely marks this first month is the famous pregnancy test which is positive ! Which inevitably triggers a whole cocktail of emotions in you: joy, excitement but also perhaps doubt, fear...
Are you also wondering how to tell your partner ? Lots of questions rush through your head. Breathe and trust: everything is okay! :)
Just enjoy this good news. Very quickly, you may already feel the first signs of change: the famous (but not obligatory!) nausea, tender breasts, fatigue, hyper-salivation, or even a growing appetite (or vice versa)... If you are prone to pregnancy nausea, our Nausea Saver herbal tea can relieve you and improve your comfort of life.

It is also common to feel pain in the lower abdomen that can resemble severe period pain, or even some minor bleeding (not to be confused with a miscarriage).
Yes, all this can start towards the end of the first month and generally intensify during the next...
The lucky ones won't experience any of this! With pregnancy, you will quickly understand that you are not all equal...
Although we will repeat it to you more than once, it is now that you need to pay attention to your lifestyle :
• Food: food must be washed and cooked well.
Be careful with tartare and sushi only to be consumed under certain very specific conditions (professional freezing, very high quality restaurant, etc.) or simply to be avoided so as not to take any risks.
No raw milk, but “yes” to pasteurized milk. Eggs must also be well cooked (be careful of preparations that contain them).
• Alcohol and illicit substances: zero from ZERO, and we're not kidding!
• Tobacco: to be banned as far as possible, talk to your doctor.
• Playing a sport: your practice will need to be adapted. No more horse riding or Thai boxing, but say yes to yoga, swimming, walking and any gentle practice. There are many ways to maintain physical activity during your pregnancy.
• Medications: ask your doctor for advice. Beware of self-medication.
• And cosmetics: many ingredients used in cosmetics are not recommended during pregnancy, turn to specific care for pregnant women authorized from the first month of pregnancy.
Certain maternity care products should only be used from the 4th month of pregnancy because they sometimes contain ingredients not recommended during pregnancy... So choose your cosmetics with the greatest care. In addition, to best care for your skin, it is best to start application as early as possible.
Rest assured, Daylily treatments are perfectly suited for use with complete confidence, from the first month of pregnancy... therefore to be consumed without moderation. ;)
And to support you throughout your pregnancy, you can find our Anti-Stretch Mark Ritual composed of Lait Fondant and Huile Sensorielle !

And baby, where is he?
If you yourself didn't yet know that you were pregnant, your embryo is indeed there and is starting to develop at lightning speed !
The heart begins to develop and the very first beats appear at the end of the 1st month. The nervous system begins to take shape. It is already connected to you thanks to the umbilical cord.
At the end of this first month, the fetus reaches approximately 5mm, or a small grain of rice!
Appointments, paperwork, etc. :
First, take a pregnancy test to confirm that you are indeed pregnant.
If this test is positive, make an appointment with your doctor, your gynecologist or your midwife: this is the first mandatory medical consultation (you have up to 3 months of pregnancy to have it).
In total, you will have 7 mandatory medical consultations throughout your pregnancy. The professional who will monitor your pregnancy may, however, ask you to carry out others if necessary.
During this first appointment, you will be given the “First prenatal medical examination” document which you will use to declare your pregnancy and which you will need to complete. You will return the first 2 blue sections to your CAF and the third pink section to your health insurance fund BEFORE THE END OF THE 3rd MONTH.
You will also be prescribed your first blood test (the first in a long series... sorry for those who don't like injections, you'll have to be strong).
Will be asked:
- Toxoplasmosis (repeat every month if you are not immunized)
- Rubella
- HIV
- Syphilis
- Blood group and rhesus if this is your first pregnancy
- Hepatitis B and blood count (to detect possible anemia), which can possibly be carried out in the 6th month
Do a urine test to check sugar (risk of diabetes) and albumin (search for proteins which can be a sign of hypertension, kidney abnormalities, urinary infection, etc.).
You may be prescribed a cervical smear if you are not up to date and a first ultrasound to determine the start date of pregnancy if there are doubts about this presumed date.
