When pregnant, hormones are running at full speed. Estrogen and progesterone levels can even be multiplied by 1000! This hormonal change of course does not go unnoticed. While some future mothers have thicker hair, strong nails, a radiant complexion and perfect skin, for others, it's quite the opposite...
Among the small skin defects that may appear are the following:
• Acne may appear. The significant secretion of hormones boosts the activity of the sebaceous glands, which therefore produce more sebum. As a result, the skin shines , has difficulty remaining clear and mattified , and becomes covered with more or less significant imperfections (redness, blackheads, pimples, etc.) in the T zone or on the entire face.
