There are many ways to take care of your body after childbirth: by resuming sporting activity for example. Choose a diet adapted to the rhythm of your days

We're not going to lie, when you want to find a pretty figure, it generally starts on the plate! If baby takes up all your time, he also takes up all your energy, which is why to get back in shape, it is essential to adopt a healthy and varied diet!

Favor complete menus : starchy foods in moderate quantities or if possible without too much gluten (we limit rye, oats, wheat and barley in favor of quinoa, whole or semi-whole rice, millet, buckwheat), proteins (quality red meat in small quantities, fish and seafood), unlimited vegetables, fruits (two per day maximum because they contain a lot of sugar) but also foods rich in calcium, iron (because if it is in deficit, it causes moments of intense fatigue) and omega 3, especially if you are breastfeeding. You can also turn to superfoods, including spirulina, a very nourishing algae rich in protein and iron.

Be careful, however, no diet before the end of breastfeeding , because it is precisely during this period that you will need vitamins and minerals the most. Breastfeeding is also the period of hormonal rebalancing: this takes place over time and allows the mother to draw directly from her fat reserves.

Good news : even by simply resuming a balanced and healthy diet, you help your body lose excess pounds and gently reshape your figure. It's all a question of patience!

Resume sporting activity without sudden movements

Starting again or even starting sport after pregnancy is sometimes difficult for the most tired mothers. However, reconnecting with your body is essential! Don't worry, nothing forces you to take up boxing, and for good reason: after giving birth, it takes a little time for your lower body organs to return to their place, particularly in the abdominal area. These can cause a feeling of heaviness if you stand for too long, which is why we advise you to carry out relaxation sessions at home before any other sport, in a lying position.

Around 5 to 6 weeks after giving birth, make an appointment with a physiotherapist (or your midwife) for perineal rehabilitation . In fact, straining your abs before your perineum has regained all its tone is a common mistake among busy moms! Once this muscle is strengthened, and if you feel able to resume sporting activity, then it is time to get started! You may also be prescribed abdominal rehabilitation , especially in the event of a cesarean section: in this case, wait for professional advice again before resuming sporting activity. However, remember to be kind to your body: you sometimes have to wait several months before regaining your pre-pregnancy tone, so when you experience pain while practicing a sport, you have to know how to say stop and take a break. It's normal to have a different rhythm after giving birth, and the most important thing is to accept it! And then, it's important to sometimes listen to the old sayings... "9 months to do, 9 months to undo", even if this duration can vary in one direction or the other depending on each woman.
