7th to 10th week of amenorrhea / 5th to 8th week of pregnancy
There is no possible doubt: you are indeed pregnant. And the icing on the cake: the messy hormones that play yo-yo with your emotions and can cause mood swings... On the stomach side, it's slowly starting to round out in this 2nd month of pregnancy, while your breasts are firm and tight with the nipple areola which may begin to widen and darken.
At the end of the month, your heart rate increases and this is normal, so you will feel out of breath more quickly (stairs will become your worst enemies).
Pregnancy nausea can be very severe and prevent you from fully enjoying your first trimester. Rest assured, you are not alone, many pregnant women experience them and they generally pass after the first trimester. To relieve yourself and regain comfort in your life, you can use our Nausea Saver anti-nausea herbal tea. Little extra: its spicy taste respects your sensitive sense of smell at the start of pregnancy. You can find all of our tips for calming nausea in our dedicated article.

Remember to rest as soon as you can, to relax and to respect a healthy lifestyle: a balanced diet (pay attention to foods to avoid), gentle physical activity , restful sleep , etc. In short, pamper yourself!
Daylily treatments are also there for that. Our Morning & Evening Anti-Stretch Mark Ritual can accompany you from the start to soften and nourish your skin during a pampering routine: The Lait Fondant in the morning, all over the body and the Huile Sensorielle in the evening, as a massage on the stomach, hips, buttocks, breasts and thighs, which are the areas most prone to stretch marks.

And baby, where is he?
The embryo will grow from 5 mm to 3 cm during this 2nd month of pregnancy: we go from a grain of rice to a beautiful almond , which will weigh 2 to 3 grams.
His heart and vascular system will be trained by the end of the month.
His head takes shape little by little: his brain becomes larger, and his face begins to take shape.
The organs continue to develop, as do the hands and feet .
Ossification begins, encourage it by adopting a healthy lifestyle and paying attention to your diet.
Appointments, paperwork, etc. :
If you have not yet had your first mandatory medical consultation , it is time to make an appointment with your midwife, your gynecologist or your doctor for a check-up: weight, blood pressure, etc. This consultation will allow you to reassure yourself about your health and ask your questions about pregnancy to professionals.
After this consultation, you must send before the 14th week of amenorrhea the first two blue parts of the “first prenatal medical examination” form to the CAF , and the third pink part to the health insurance fund . This document will allow you to declare your pregnancy and benefit from the birth bonus if you meet the conditions for obtaining it.
Be sure to do a urine test to check both sugar (risk of diabetes) and albumin (search for proteins which can be a sign of hypertension, kidney abnormalities, urinary infection, etc.).
You can slowly start to think about the type of birth you want and find out about the maternity ward where you want to give birth. The sooner you think about it, the more confident you will be with your decision.
Also take a blood test for toxoplasmosis if you are not immune and/or irregular agglutinins (RAI) if your blood group is negative.
